Flowerpot

Are You a Nobody, Too?

Continued from: The Scarred Outcast

The boy cocked his head in her direction, almost as if he knew she were there. Fleur Isabelle Delacour involuntary gasped as she closed the door.

"It's alright", the boy said, "you can come through."

Fleur slowly made her way towards the boy and she saw that he had a slight build in addition to the mop of messy black hair and those green eyes. He looked at her with amusement before he asked quietly, "I'm a nobody. Are you a nobody, too?"

"My name is Fleur, Fleur Delacour," Fleur quietly said. "What's yours, if I may ask?

The boy smiled, "A lovely name for a flower."

The boy's compliment caused Fleur to blush and made her heart flutter.

"You're the first person who's ever asked my name," the boy said quietly. "I was always called either a 'freak' or the 'outcast'. But my name is," as the boy hesitated, "Harry. Harry James Potter. Would you, would you like to be my friend?" The boy asked with hope in his eyes.

Fleur nodded and Harry responded with one of the most brilliant smiles she had ever seen. From that day, Fleur Isabelle Delacour would make sure that he never thought of himself as a nobody ever again.

Part 2

Yule Ball, 4th Year

As the students and Champions gathered at the entrance of the Great Hall, many were wondering who Fleur Delacour, Beauxbatons Champion would bring. Many of the male students, and even a few of the girls, tried to ask the beautiful young witch as their date. Some even going to extravagant proposals; however, they were all soundly rejected.

Professor McGonagall smirked at the gathering of students and led the Champions in first and, then, the rest of the students were allowed in. As the students and Champions sat down, the lights began to dim and music began to play.

As soon as everyone was settled in, the doors opened, and Fleur Delacour slowly walked in and began to sing:

"In sleep he sang to me In dreams he came That voice that calls to me and speaks my name And do I dream again for now I find The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside my mind"

Fleur reached the middle of the dance floor and everyone was surprised when a boy they had all but ridiculed and ignored, followed the beautiful young witch and he, too, sang:

"Sing once again with me Our strange duet My power over you grows stronger yet And though you turn from me to glance behind The Phantom of the Opera is there Inside your mind"

The pair continued to sing and drew in their audience with their haunting vocals and words until Fleur ended the song with a stunning crescendo.

After their song, Harry looked deep into Fleur's eyes and kissed her before he asked her, "Am I a nobody?"

Fleur took Harry's face into her hands placed her forehead to his. "Non, you are not a nobody. You are 'arry James Potter. Zhe man I love whiz all my 'eart." Then, Fleur returned the kiss.

Close Your Eyes

Harry looked into Fleur's eyes and took her around the dance floor whilst he sang:

"Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness stirs and wakes imagination Silently the senses abandon the defenses

Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor Grasp it, sense it - tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night

Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams Purge all thoughts of the life you knew before Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar And you'll live as you've never lived before"

Harry and Fleur moved with a grace that left many in the Hall wondering how the boy learned to dance like that. Many more wondered how this scarred boy with a mask was able to befriend the most beautiful young woman in the school without anyone noticing. They all wondered what Fleur had seen in the boy and wondered what they had missed.

Some in the audience weren't surprised at all by the boy's talents. They knew that if those who had ridiculed Harry had only looked, they would have seen what they had seen.

As Harry and Fleur made their way back to the center of the dance floor, Harry took Fleur into his arms and slowly dipped her before he ended the song:

"You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night."

Love Me, That's All I Ask

As Harry and Fleur stared into each other's eyes, they began to sing together, ignoring their audience.

As Harry sang, "No more talk of darkness, Forget these wide-eyed fears; I'm here, nothing can harm you, My words will warm and calm you.

Let me be your freedom, Let daylight dry your tears; I'm here, with you, beside you, To guard you and to guide you."

Fleur followed with, "Say you love me every waking moment, Turn my head with talk of summertime. Say you need me with you now and always; Promise me that all you say is true, That's all I ask of you."

As Fleur's hand touched the side of Harry's face with the mask, a glowing light slowly began to spread from the palm of Fleur's hand and spread across Harry's mask as the magic of love erased the scars born of hatred.

As the glow subsided, Fleur asked Harry softly, "Do you trust me?"

"Always."

Fleur nodded and slowly reached up and removed his mask as the crowd gasped.

"It's awful, isn't it?"

Fleur conjured a mirror and beckoned Harry to look into it. Terrified of what he would see, Harry nevertheless looked into the mirror and was stunned.

"That's -- that's me?" Harry asked with tears in his eyes as he saw the handsome face of a young man with emerald green eyes staring back at him in the mirror.

Fleur nodded and kissed Harry again. "Zhat has always been you."

Tearfully, Harry sang," Then say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime; Let me lead you from your solitude. Say you need me with you, here beside you, Anywhere you go, let me go too, That's all I ask of you"

And; again Fleur responded in kind, "Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime; Say the word and I will follow you.

Share each day with me, Each night, each morning."

And they both sang with joy, "Love me, that's all I ask of you."
