The First Duel
Fleur Delacour stood confidently in the ring, her Katana at her side with the cutting edge facing upward. Her opponent was Draco Malfoy, an arrogant young man from the Scorpion Clan.
"I'm going to claim you as mine, bitch," Malfoy boasted.
Delacour just shook her head, smirked, and shifted her feet into her stance. Focus, she thought to herself.
The referee looked at both opponents before shouting, "Begin!"
Malfoy grinned, drew his Katana, and charged. Fleur waited until the last possible moment before she sidestepped her opponent and struck. Her Katana was instantly at the fool's throat.
"Winner! Fleur Delacour!"
The stunned crowd roared its approval of the Crane's skill.
"Bloody hell, she's fast," Ron Weasley muttered.
Hermione Granger nodded in agreement, "I almost missed the move."
"I told you she was good," Harrisan Potter told his two best friends.
"My -- my Father will hear about this insult," a stunned Malfoy Heir screamed.
Fleur Delacour bowed to her stunned opponent and then bowed to the audience before leaving the ring. As she left, she noticed the Emerald-eyed young man who nodded his approval at her. Briefly, she nodded back at him, her lips upturned into a barely noticeable smile.
