Theme:
Both A and B start out not caring about the other, but are each other's Antagonistic forces. Over time, they grow to care more about spiting each other than getting what they want. Eventually, both of them succeed in stopping the other from getting what the other wants, at the cost of what they want themselves. Despite this, they both win. They have grown to care more about spiting each other then they have about their original goals, and as such they both win despite paradoxically also losing.
