Once upon a time, in a land far away, a strange land full of magic, wonders, and terror, lived Harry, a talented young wizard who was quite unwanted by his family. The people of the land followed many traditions that may seem strange to outsiders, but the traditions have kept them safe in a land where supernatural horrors prowled the night.
One such tradition involved selecting a young man from the community and declaring him king. For one day, he would be celebrated, people would feast in his honour. After that, the king is offered as a sacrifice, offered in marriage to the current living embodiment of the Goddess of the Land.
Currently, the Land found itself in a strange situation, when both the previous king and the embodiment of the Goddess had died under suspicious circumstances.
Harry learns his family had arranged for him to be selected as the next king. And as tradition dictates, the living embodiment of the Goddess is one of the Veela.
