Harry Potter and the Quest for Knowledge

AU, Fleur Delacour is two years younger than in canon, and her father's job as the French Ambassador to the Ministry of Magic requires her family to move to Britain after only one year at Beauxbatons. Therefore, Fleur naturally attends Hogwarts from her second year onward. And at Hogwarts she is easily sorted into Ravenclaw. But being a young Veela in a new country isn't easy, especially when you hardly speak any English. So Fleur didn't expect to make any friends while there. But little did she know how much her life would change when she bumps into one of the new first-year Ravenclaws, the famous and wickedly intelligent Harry Potter.

Harry had a thirst for knowledge ever since he could remember. He always liked thinking about how things worked, from the telly, to sciences and machines, to just the greater world in general. The Durselys never answered any of his questions, and refused to ever teach him anything, so he tasked himself with learning as much as he could on his own. It also didn't help that he would be punished for getting better marks than Dudley, which was never hard. So he had to hide his natural curiosity and genius from a young age. So when he learned that a whole new world of magic existed, he vowed to learn everything he could. He must have read through his books a half dozen times before school started, desiring to not be behind his peers that knew of magic all their lives. At Hogwarts he is easily sorted into Ravenclaw, much to his delight. He had heard from Hagrid that Professor Flitwick was a Charms Master, so having him as his Head of House was splendid. But being famous for something you cannot remember isn't as fun as it sounds, and it regularly distracted him from his studies, so he often snuck away to read and practice his magic. And on one of these excursions he bumped into a pretty second year French witch with a thirst for knowledge to rival his own.

NO OP!Harry. Talented, but grounded
