Harry is left a squib after the fall of Voldemort which occurs during the rise of Napoleon. Left without his magic harry, an orphan, is cast out by conservative magical Brittan and ends up gaining to army to find purpose and to feed himself.
While in France he meets the young daughter of a powerful French merchant the young lady Fleur and the two joined by the caue to free France from the yoke of Napoleon and his rapidly expanding army which comes to include French wizards fall in love. Story focuses on their love developing over the years while both are servant to circumstances.
