The dreaded day had finally come
Harry and Ron had both cooked for a gathering. On the same day
And now, the pair stood before the large table that stood proud on the backyard of the Burrow, red haired and raven haired standing in front of their nearly insensate families and friends, all of whom were lost in bliss, still savoring the piece of heaven they had experienced through the food of the two chefs
Harry and Ron had demanded they choose. Who was the better chef
The Weasleys sided with Ron, at first, while Fleur, her family, Andromeda and Teddyhad sided with Harry
A great debate was held. Hermione argued for Ron, while Fleur spoke in favour of Harry, both women wishing to give their respective husbands the distinction of the Best
Points were put forth, argued over, refuted, backed, accepted and discarded. The conversation was long, the tensions high
Yet in the end, only one consensus could be reached
There could be no winner
Both cooks were simply that good.
It was a Draw
Yet Harry and Ron couldn't stand that. As one, they turned and shook hands, their sense of rivalry ignited, as each resolved to fight for his passion.
Preparations occurred, as spaces were purchased, restaurants built to the chef’s specifications, allies, sous chefs, managers, waiters, and all other personnel necessary were gathered
Suppliers were secured. Utensils and crockery, pots and pans, knives and ladles acquired
And on the first of September, four months after the eventful decision, Harry and Ron shook hands once more, before they apparated to their respective kitchens
Ron was backed by his family. Hermione took the role of financial planner, and manager, mapping out the future of their franchise, as the rest of the Weasley family chipped in, Molly, George, Bill, Charlie, Percy and Ginny taking up positions in the staff
Harry was backed by his wife, Fleur and her family. Fleur and Gabrielle worked as servers, graceful in their motions. Appoline and Sebastian through their formidable skills and experience behind Harry, as even Andromeda and Teddy chipped in.
As both restaurants opened, the war truly began.
Stomachs were filled, customers satisfied, and meals devoured. Lines were drawn, crossed, and remade. Renown was acquired, names grew famous, as their food became sought after all across the Wizarding World. Ground was won and lost and won again, as both restaurants pushed against their rival in a bid for victory
Yet, no winner emerged.
It all came to ahead in a decisive cook off
Harry vs Ron. The Heroic Cook vs the Red Chef Supreme.
As both stepped up to the stage, and headed for their stations, the entire wizarding held its breath
For there could only be one winner
