Spirited Away

Our Earth is only one world among many. To travel between them, you’d need to find either a naturally occurring portal, find somebody able to open a portal or brave the currents of the Aether in an Astral Ship. All the portals lead to the World between, the Borderland, where all things strange meet. Instead of being sent to the Dursleys, Harry vanished without a trace. He found himself on a different world, being brought up by a gruff but patient ranger. The magical populace is aware of the other worlds, but most of them prefer to stay home. Fawkes manages to bring the Hogwarts Letter to Harry, who grew up into a self-sufficient, patient, warm and kind lad, skilled in survival, camping, woodcraft and archery. His friends at Hogwarts include Ron and Hermione, Ron taking to learning Harry’s skills, since no other Weasley bothered with them, Hermione, infinitely curious about other worlds. Fleur isn’t a Veela in this, instead, she is an Aasimar, descended from a celestial, an Angel. Over time, she dedicated her life to serving a deity and justice. Voldemort still uses horcruxes, yet manages to hide them on different worlds, leading to a roving adventure when hunting for them. Yet Voldemort isn’t the only Darkness, there are many more threats in the worlds, many much worse than Voldemort could even dream of.
