Tavern Owner Fleur

(inspired by the song Pretty Lavinia by American Murder Song)

Fleur owns a famous tavern in Diagon Alley by the name of Bloomin’ Rose (or whatever you want the name to be, just make it flower-related). She serves high-quality drinks, and her ethereal beauty has gotten many a man to part with more coin than they intended to. The signature house drink, however, comes with a unique tagline: 1 part kisses, 3 parts rum. No one really knows what’s in the drink, except that every mug she makes, she plants a kiss on the rim of the mug, but supposedly, when someone manages to drink the mug in one pull and not pass out, Fleur bestows upon him 1 kiss. Many have tried, but not a single individual has managed to get more than halfway before passing out.

Unbeknownst to the patrons, Fleur imbues each drink with Veela magic, ensuring not a single patron, be it, man or woman, can finish it. The allure of a challenge, mixed with the promise of a kiss from the beautiful French bachelorette ensures people keep coming back for more.

One day, a man wearing a hooded cloak walks in, causing all conversation to cease. Each footstep echoes through the empty hall as the man sidles up to the bar where Fleur is cleaning a mug. He orders the house drink, and a couple of patrons scoff, already knowing where this was going. Fleur merely raises an eyebrow and pulls a fresh mug from underneath the bar and hands it to the man. Everyone watches in astonishment as the man downs the drink in one go and starts to walk out the door, leaving a couple of coins on the counter as payment.

Fleur stares in astonishment, obviously not expecting this turn of events. “Wait! Mon cher monsieur, will you not at least lower your hood and let me get a look at the man I would kiss?”

He stops and turns around slowly, lowering his hood as he goes. Everyone waits with bated breath, wanting to know who in the world was able to drink Fleur’s house drink with no ill effects.

Harry Potter stares back at them all, a sly smirk adorning his features. He shoots a wink at a pink and flustered-looking Fleur. “Hey Fleur,” he says, “thanks for the drink,” before walking out the door, his cloak billowing in his wake.
