One thing I Have been meaning to ask is, if you ever were to write a time-loop story, that would end up Harry / Fleur, what year would be the best for the time loop to start?
I've read loop stories that start in the first year, but there would be much filler, and it would be quite weird to start with Harry in the body of his ten year old self.
I've been thinking more about starting the loop in the fourth year, or even the fifth year with Dep of Mysteries as the catalyst, instead. One would also need working out the mechanics of the loop, what it will be anchored to.
it would be interesting to anchor it to the complete destruction of voldy, whether it would an artifact / ritual / spell that would start the loop. The best loops imo. are forced loops with some kind of mystery to them. Say, Harry will mature, Voldemort will be more competent, and all the lucky coincidences happening in canon, will of course be harder to replicate, as Rowling sure as hell helped out Harry a lot.
Cue mental breakdown, trying to replicate first life, opportunities, but also mental breakdown, and mental rebuilding.
Everything would make resonating with Fleur easier than he could in his first life / loop - as he is way more mature. Also there could be a Veela kind of magic that could be used to share memories, but only with Veela. So Harry can share some memories with her, so that he is not utterly alone in the loop. Though this also has limits, though he can share few memories, but more "feelings".
Thinking about an epic romance / time loop story, but with Harry / Fleur as the end game pairing.
